KTX serves major corridors, while other trains and buses may be more practical for some destinations.
Choose the corridor before the train brand
KTX serves major high-speed corridors, while ITX and Mugunghwa services can reach places or schedules that fit differently. Some destinations are simpler by intercity bus.
Station names can change the whole route
A city may have several stations, and the high-speed station can be outside the center. Compare the arrival station with accommodation and local transport before buying.
Booking and ticket checks
Use KORAIL’s official booking service or an authorized channel. Confirm the departure station, date, time, train number and arrival station on the ticket.
Transfers and luggage
Allow time to reach the platform and keep luggage within the train’s available storage without blocking aisles. For a same-day onward trip, include local transfer time outside the station.
Before you act
- Compare KTX, conventional rail and bus for the route.
- Map both stations to the real origin and destination.
- Read every ticket field before travel.
