Korea Subway Guide

Use line numbers, station names, exits and transfer signs across major Korean cities.

English station names and numbered exits help, but the correct direction and branch still matter.

Read the line, direction and branch

A station name alone is not enough. Check the line number or color, the direction shown by upcoming stations, and any branch or express pattern.

Exits are part of the route

Large stations can have many exits separated by long underground passages. Choose the destination exit before reaching street level, especially with luggage.

Transfers and accessibility

A transfer marked on the map can involve corridors and stairs. Check elevator information where step-free access matters and allow more time at major interchange stations.

Late-night travel

Last-train times differ by line, direction and day. Confirm the actual final useful connection rather than relying on a general closing time.
